MAC 30 - EASTER WEEK in London, Ontario!!

Hellooooo brothers and sisters all across the world, from Canada all the way back to Malaysia!!!

How's thing been this past week? I hope all of you enjoyed the short Easter break that we have this past few days. Though some of you don't celebrated it much in some places but nonetheless, I hope everything is well with you and those that you cared.

It was overall a really good week for us. One of our progressing investigator, B is now preparing to be baptize this upcoming week. She'll be dunk in between the General Conferences session later in the evening with one of the investigator that YSA Sisters teach. Yeah!! You better believe it!! It's going to be gloriousss!!!

MONDAY - Have a great time with the Dixon's family who invited us over for a dinner. Later, we teach a lesson in their FHE. It was my first experienced to witness and be part of the FHE in a family setting. It was great start of the week.

TUESDAY - On exchange with the Mandarin Elders, Elder Carroll, who is from Arizona. The land of milk and honey so they say. He never have much experienced with tracting as Mandarin's work doesn't do much of those things. They work best with members and contacting. It was a quite interesting day as we witness miracle happening in every step of the way. On one of the door that we knock, S, a university student from Mongolia who was looking for a church to attend were shocked and elated when he's seeing us on his doorstep. He was so overjoyed that I swear he almost going to hug us right there on the spot..you know, like one of those love drama movie, but we stand firm on our ground, no hug man!! Not cool! Later that evening, we went over to Brother Shiell helping him out with the wood chopping at his back porch and were entreated to a dinner afterward. Both of them are converts to the church. As we share the Easter initiative, Hallelujah video, we shared with one another about our conversion story.

WEDNESDAY - We brought the Primary power into our teaching this week. Sister Jenkinson and her husband agreed to come with us to teach the sweet Smith's family that Elder Barlow and Smith find the other week while we're on exchanges with the Tillsonburg Elders. We taught them the Restoration and invite them for the ward upcoming activity, the Easter Pancake Breakfast. Lily is really sweet girl. She has a lot of question for a girl in her age. She's 8 by the way. Always eager to learn and loves the Savior though she doesn't know enough. She's so pure in heart. I can feel it.

THURSDAY - On the way to Brampton for our exchanges with the AP's, we were hit with a freezing rain that in turn froze the tree on our way there. It was quite a drive. We reunited with the brethren that I used to serve with in the past back at Hamilton, Elder Erickson who now served in Brampton as the zone leaders and Elder Forsyth, the AP's. He been there for so long, almost a year now.

FRIDAY - We have a funny ESL meeting with the Ossington, North York and Weston zone on the morning. The demonstration was so funny and full of excitement. Elder Steed, Elder Barlow and I were teaching each others on how we can speak better English. Haha!! Have an awesome exchange with Elder Forsyth. We teaching a lot of people that day. One of the mandarin members, Shu coming teaching with us. Man, he's awesome. He's also a fresh convert. Just joined the church for almost 2 years while he was working in Cyprus.

SATURDAY - We filled our day with calling everyone in the zone for the MCC's. It took almost forever to get it done. My companion and I were on the phone for 5-hours straight calling all the 13 companionships that we have in the zone, retrieving the information. Nonetheless, we still get the work done.

SUNDAY - Fast and Testimony Meeting this week! We taught a lesson on Gospel Principles under the section of Sacrifice. It was great lesson, everyone anxiously engaged throughout the meeting. One of our returning member from Syria, Y were very interested about how the Savior has atone for our sins and because of that sacrifice, we were make possible to return back with God. Conclude the day with Easter's dinner with the Mitchell's.

I have never write this much on my letter before, that is something. I hope you all enjoy your upcoming week. Stay true to your covenant and always choose the right no matter what. The Lord will succor your in your affliction. Another thing that I want to add before I went on my way. Family life is the best method for achieving happiness in this world, and it is a clear pattern of what is to be in the next world. Have a wonderful week and Happy Easter, everyone!!

MAC 22 - FIRST DAY OF SPRING BUT IT SNOWING!!

Hey all,

How everyone doing this week? An early shock this morning as the snow fall down from the sky during our Companion Study. I know right, you got to be kidding me, it's the first day of the spring too. It was unexpected event.

We have a great week!! We found 14 new investigators in the massive London city! After turning 7 of our investigators over to the Lord, we decided to get it done. Pound the pavement hard!! The Lord blesses us as we open our mouth and teach the gospel.

Throughout our trip to Chatham this week, we found a lot of dead animals-Road kills on the side of the street. It wasn't a pleasant scene. One our investigator who we been taught for lengthy period of time asking a probing question about baptism yesterday. It's the sign, brethren!! She is so ready to make the covenants!! It just a matter a time.

Funny thing happen during the dinner we have with the Young Men President's family yesterday. It all begun when I'm ask them if their kids ever get the impression that they look like people from Asia because of their eyes. They do, they said. A lot of time. Then, this happen.. The mum told us that one of their daughter who is in university at Toronto will be attending church with the family this upcoming Sunday. She told us that she's looked a lot like people from Asian, especially the eyes part then unpurposedly she said to us to check out her daughter when she's there. No!! We're not going to check out the daughter! And the whole family including us were astonished by her statement.. She didn't not just said that! Haha, however, she quickly correct the word and everyone is laughing about it, including herself. Haha. All is well :)

Well, it was a really fast transfer! I got lost track of things to say and to share this week, again. But nevertheless, I did my best. I wish all a great week and never give up no matter what. Remember, discouragement weaken the faith!! Keep the positive attitude.

Hello Elder Ngerantar,
So this weekend we were in Sudbury for Stake Conference and we added a new member to our family.  My 16 year old nephew Ben from Nova Scotia is living with us now, so I spent three hours this morning at the high school getting him enrolled, hence my short emails today.  He arrived on Friday morning and has been loving it so far.  I just hope he can get back on the Strait and Narrow and take advantage of his second chance.  March Break was uneventful.  Lots of sleeping in and relaxing which was nice.  We played volleyball with the missionaries and fed them lots.  The three girls went to London for EFY on Friday.  They really enjoyed it as you can see from the pictures.  Ethan was lucky enough to get to go the Greyhound hockey game on Wednesday with Pappa so he enjoyed that.  On Thursday night Rachel, Emily and I went to the Relief Society Dinner where Rachel and I both were asked to speak on the divinity of Woman.  Here are two really good talks I used.  One is from President Hinckley when he spoke to the young women, but it applies to all of us.  The other is from Elder Nelson and is great for Men to read since their better half someday will be a woman.  :) https://www.lds.org/ensign/1989/11/woman-of-infinite-worth?lang=eng  & https://www.lds.org/ensign/2001/05/how-can-i-become-the-woman-of-whom-i-dream?lang=eng.  They are both older talks so read them because you probably haven't.
Hope you have a wonderful week.  Keep working hard and studying much and you will be blessed.

Love,
The Heimonen's

Hello Elder Ngerantar,
So this weekend was pretty awesome.  We went to the Toronto Temple for the sealing of my brother Joseph and his wife Jessica.  It was a very unique experience because there were 8 people in the sealing room, all of which were family.  My Dad was the sealer, Matthew and Harri were the witnesses, than there was me, my mom, Jared and Joseph and Jessica.  It was a very spiritual moment in time.  We also were able to take the three girls to do baptisms on Saturday morning, than Harri and I did some sealings for his ancestors.  It was wonderful to be reminded of the covenants we made over 20 years ago when we were married.  I love the temple.  Everyone is always so happy and it is so peaceful there.  I wish we lived a bit closer so we could go more often.  Than we went out for supper to the Wok of Fame.  Such a yummy place to eat.  Of course we ate way too much, but it was so good.
Yesterday we went to see Bonnie and took her some special flowers to brighten her day.  :)  Then we came home to do family scripture reading and were joined by the missionaries. We love the missionaries. :)  We read Jacob 3 and 4 which means today we get to read the wonderful chapter of Jacob 5.  Ethan likes to tell people that it is 77 verses long.  He love his numbers.
So today I was reading the conference talk by Elder Francisco J. Vinas, "The Pleasing Work of God"  https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2015/10/the-pleasing-word-of-god?lang=eng
He says, "In those difficult moments in our lives, the pleasing word of God that heals the wounded soul brings the following message of comfort to our heart and mind:
“Peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
“And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high” (D&C 121:7–8).
The pleasing word of God fills us with hope, because we know that those who are faithful in tribulation will have the greater reward in the kingdom of heaven and that “after much tribulation come the blessings” (seeD&C 58:3–4)."
He also talks about that we can become entangles "in the vanitites of the world" and what those vanitites are.  This relates to keeping the sabbath day holy.  Something that we are really working hard at in our family.  I see a huge difference in our everyday life when we strive to keep the sabbath day holy especially with the girls.  I love that they enjoy going to visit Bonnie.  They never complain about doing Family Home Evening or reading Scriptures everyday.  Sometimes they are even the ones organizing it. It makes raising teenagers so much more enjoyable.

Hope you had a wonderful week teaching the gospel.
Keep working hard, studying much and you will be blessed.

Mac 15 - Follow Him and Find New LIFE :)

Happy Easter everyone!!

So much going on this week that I don't have enough time to expound it at the moment. Sorry, I will do better next time. That's what the Atonement for. The mission just keep getting better and better as day pass by. Eversince I moved to London, I find the time went fly superbly fast without I'm realizing it. We do a lot of travel over the town, from one place to the other for meeting. That's probably the reason. Already!! This week it going to be short and sweet. On this sweet Easter season, I would like to invite everyone to check out the new video initiative that have been released by the church. It short but powerful at the same time. You will benefit a LOT from it. So, please make time to watch it. The video is under 3 minutes, sure you all got time to watch it. If you don't, you are much busier than God intend you to be. Have a great rest of the week to everyone :)

(Hallelujah)

MAC 1 - LONDON !!

London is a great place!! It's the biggest area in the mission. It was a hectic week by far as we running around the town doing some errand for the MCC. It a whole new environment to be in. This week I learn a lot about change! God given us the gift to repent to help us change in this life. Adversity is necessary as it help us to progress more in His plan.

It was a risk thing to do by my new companion, Elder Barlow to drive without a license. We've been driving all over the town for the whole week illegally! Haha!! I thought we only have London in our stewardship but no, we have Strathroy which is 30 minutes away outside London.

The new assignment require a lot of paper work and less dinner and lunch time as we always on the go everytime, but that's okay. I'm all up for it!! I realize that everyone month passing by, I'm getting busier and busier and that's good. That's way I won't have time to slack out!

The work is good at London as we have find 2 new investigator despite the hectic week we have so far, pretty productive, aye. Yeah, we get it done! Pound the pavement here!! Woo!!!

FEB 23 - THE NEW DAWN !!

We received a very early transfer call last night from our mission president. My companion, Elder Toly is moving to Lindsay in Oshawa zone and I'm moving to London 1st in London zone and not only that, my assignment has been change to zone leader. I'm stoked for it!! Its going to be glorious!!

I love Hamilton ward so much!! The member were really sweet and wonderful!! They love the missionary, they're taking care of us really well!!  Its feel like I'm at home here, sometime even better. It was a blessed 6-months. I learning so much and I'm really going to missed the area a lot!! The love that I have for them is unmeasureable and I will always remember these place for the rest of my life.

We were finally able to find more substantial people to teach for the past 2 weeks! Denise, Joseph F, and Nickie B look solid to learn more!! We also have a great time meeting with the member this past 2 weeks!! Helping them to strengthen their faith and do the missionary work would help the ward greatly in the future to come :)

I got so much going on in my mind right now that I don't know what to say anymore. Well, I guess that for this week!! Until we write again next time!! :)
