MAC 22 - FIRST DAY OF SPRING BUT IT SNOWING!!

Hey all,

How everyone doing this week? An early shock this morning as the snow fall down from the sky during our Companion Study. I know right, you got to be kidding me, it's the first day of the spring too. It was unexpected event.

We have a great week!! We found 14 new investigators in the massive London city! After turning 7 of our investigators over to the Lord, we decided to get it done. Pound the pavement hard!! The Lord blesses us as we open our mouth and teach the gospel.

Throughout our trip to Chatham this week, we found a lot of dead animals-Road kills on the side of the street. It wasn't a pleasant scene. One our investigator who we been taught for lengthy period of time asking a probing question about baptism yesterday. It's the sign, brethren!! She is so ready to make the covenants!! It just a matter a time.

Funny thing happen during the dinner we have with the Young Men President's family yesterday. It all begun when I'm ask them if their kids ever get the impression that they look like people from Asia because of their eyes. They do, they said. A lot of time. Then, this happen.. The mum told us that one of their daughter who is in university at Toronto will be attending church with the family this upcoming Sunday. She told us that she's looked a lot like people from Asian, especially the eyes part then unpurposedly she said to us to check out her daughter when she's there. No!! We're not going to check out the daughter! And the whole family including us were astonished by her statement.. She didn't not just said that! Haha, however, she quickly correct the word and everyone is laughing about it, including herself. Haha. All is well :)

Well, it was a really fast transfer! I got lost track of things to say and to share this week, again. But nevertheless, I did my best. I wish all a great week and never give up no matter what. Remember, discouragement weaken the faith!! Keep the positive attitude.

Hello Elder Ngerantar,
So this weekend we were in Sudbury for Stake Conference and we added a new member to our family.  My 16 year old nephew Ben from Nova Scotia is living with us now, so I spent three hours this morning at the high school getting him enrolled, hence my short emails today.  He arrived on Friday morning and has been loving it so far.  I just hope he can get back on the Strait and Narrow and take advantage of his second chance.  March Break was uneventful.  Lots of sleeping in and relaxing which was nice.  We played volleyball with the missionaries and fed them lots.  The three girls went to London for EFY on Friday.  They really enjoyed it as you can see from the pictures.  Ethan was lucky enough to get to go the Greyhound hockey game on Wednesday with Pappa so he enjoyed that.  On Thursday night Rachel, Emily and I went to the Relief Society Dinner where Rachel and I both were asked to speak on the divinity of Woman.  Here are two really good talks I used.  One is from President Hinckley when he spoke to the young women, but it applies to all of us.  The other is from Elder Nelson and is great for Men to read since their better half someday will be a woman.  :) https://www.lds.org/ensign/1989/11/woman-of-infinite-worth?lang=eng  & https://www.lds.org/ensign/2001/05/how-can-i-become-the-woman-of-whom-i-dream?lang=eng.  They are both older talks so read them because you probably haven't.
Hope you have a wonderful week.  Keep working hard and studying much and you will be blessed.

Love,
The Heimonen's

Hello Elder Ngerantar,
So this weekend was pretty awesome.  We went to the Toronto Temple for the sealing of my brother Joseph and his wife Jessica.  It was a very unique experience because there were 8 people in the sealing room, all of which were family.  My Dad was the sealer, Matthew and Harri were the witnesses, than there was me, my mom, Jared and Joseph and Jessica.  It was a very spiritual moment in time.  We also were able to take the three girls to do baptisms on Saturday morning, than Harri and I did some sealings for his ancestors.  It was wonderful to be reminded of the covenants we made over 20 years ago when we were married.  I love the temple.  Everyone is always so happy and it is so peaceful there.  I wish we lived a bit closer so we could go more often.  Than we went out for supper to the Wok of Fame.  Such a yummy place to eat.  Of course we ate way too much, but it was so good.
Yesterday we went to see Bonnie and took her some special flowers to brighten her day.  :)  Then we came home to do family scripture reading and were joined by the missionaries. We love the missionaries. :)  We read Jacob 3 and 4 which means today we get to read the wonderful chapter of Jacob 5.  Ethan likes to tell people that it is 77 verses long.  He love his numbers.
So today I was reading the conference talk by Elder Francisco J. Vinas, "The Pleasing Work of God"  https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2015/10/the-pleasing-word-of-god?lang=eng
He says, "In those difficult moments in our lives, the pleasing word of God that heals the wounded soul brings the following message of comfort to our heart and mind:
“Peace be unto thy soul; thine adversity and thine afflictions shall be but a small moment;
“And then, if thou endure it well, God shall exalt thee on high” (D&C 121:7–8).
The pleasing word of God fills us with hope, because we know that those who are faithful in tribulation will have the greater reward in the kingdom of heaven and that “after much tribulation come the blessings” (seeD&C 58:3–4)."
He also talks about that we can become entangles "in the vanitites of the world" and what those vanitites are.  This relates to keeping the sabbath day holy.  Something that we are really working hard at in our family.  I see a huge difference in our everyday life when we strive to keep the sabbath day holy especially with the girls.  I love that they enjoy going to visit Bonnie.  They never complain about doing Family Home Evening or reading Scriptures everyday.  Sometimes they are even the ones organizing it. It makes raising teenagers so much more enjoyable.

Hope you had a wonderful week teaching the gospel.
Keep working hard, studying much and you will be blessed.
